HURRICANE AWARENESS Evacuation Assistance
Any resident of Dickinson or the Dickinson Independent School District who is unable to obtain transportation out of the area will be offered transportation aboard a DISD school bus to shelters located north of Houston. This program is a means of last resort and resident are strongly urged to evacuate with family and friends.
Those who have no other means of leaving will need to be at one of the following locations by 12 noon on Wednesday September 21st.
Dickinson High School - 3800 Baker Drive McAdam's Junior High School - 4007 Video Street Dunbar Middle School - 2901 23rd Street K. E. Little Elementary - 622 Oklahoma Street Bacliff
You will be allowed to bring one lap bag per person (no larger than a school backpack). you should also bring identification, important papers and needed medication.
All evacuees will be required to complete a short registration form prior to boarding the bus.
No Alcoholic beverages or weapons allowed.
No Pets Allowed.
PLEASE NOTE: This means of last resort transportation will be utilizing un-air conditioned bus without bathroom facilities. You will be taken to whatever shelter is available at the time your bus arrives in the area. You should exhaust all other sources of transportation from friends or relatives before utilizing this service..
