New City Hall and Library

Work remains on schedule despite Hurricane Ike delay of approximately one week – minor damage to site (downed trees and fencing) - currently scheduled for substantial completion by April 2009.

• Structural steel set for both City Hall and Library

• Bracing for decking has begun on City Hall and Library

• In the next few weeks, the following work is scheduled:
  

  • Complete detailing
    

  • Start metal decking
    

  • Exterior studs
    

  • Roof blocking
    

  • Exterior sheathing
    

  • Exterior frames
    

  • Brick delivery
    

  • Interior metal studs
    

• Work is occurring concurrently on City Hall and Library with use of two crews
  

City Attorney working on Consent to Encroachment related to law office on FM 517.

Girls Scouts scheduled for a site visit on October 10 to earn their engineering badge.
