The Dickinson Police Department was established in 1983 and serves only half of the total area of Dickinson, approximately 20,000 residents.  The city is centrally located in Galveston County on IH-45 between Houston and Galveston and boasts the scenic Dickinson Bayou. Click here to see a map of the city. Large majestic pine trees surround this quaint community which was once known for it's large agricultural trade back in the late 1800's and even more well known for it's wide open gambling houses back in the 1930's.

The Police Department consists of twenty-nine (29) full time and three (3) part time officers.  Nine full time (9) and eight (8) part time civilian employees augment the officers.

We are located at 4000 Liggio Street.  To get to the station you travel east on FM 517 (Pine Drive) from IH45 to Liggio Street.  Liggio is one block east of Highway 3.  Turn left on Liggio and go north two blocks.  The department is located on the left hand side of the street.
