Sergeant Dean Boyd

Sergeant Dean Boyd, served on active duty with the United States Marine Corps, August 1973 to August of 1976 and was inactive reserve until August 1979.

Dean then began his police career in February 1979, with the Big Spring Police Department, in Big Spring, Texas, where he served as a patrol officer, field training officer and detective.  Dean then went to work for the Corsicana Police Department in Corsicana, Texas, from August of 1984 to January of 1993, where he served as a narcotics investigator, patrol officer, field training officer, SWAT officer and patrol supervisor.

Sergeant Dean Boyd, then went to work for the Navarro College Police Department, in Corsicana, Texas, where he served as a patrol officer and supervising sergeant, until May of 2001, at which time he joined the Dickinson Police Department.  Dean has served with the Dickinson Police Department as a patrol officer, field training officer and was promoted to the rank of sergeant March 13, 2006 and is currently the Shift D supervisor.
