GUILTY - Of having a Big Heart!

Officer Roger Byars “arresting” Deborah Roberts of the L3 Communications company.

Officers with the Dickinson Police Department’s Community Policing Program recently participated in the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Lock-Up event held at the Outback Steakhouse in Webster. Officers Tony Valdez, Roger Byars, and Walt Candelari spread out across the Clear Lake area ‘arresting’ those who had warrant issued for them and transported them to the restaurant where they called their friends to help make their ’bail.’  Once their bail had been arranged and a nice meal served by the Outback, they were returned to their jobs with their stint behind bars little more than a pleasant memory knowing that they were able to make a contribution to the Muscular Dystrophy Association and those they serve!

New Officer

Officer Jack Ferrell was hired by the Dickinson Police Department on February 4, 2008, and is currently in the first phase of field training. Jack graduated in the top ten from ACC Police Academy. Jack enjoys going to the gun range, woodworking and fishing in his free time.
