SOLID WASTE MONTHLY RATES FOR

RESIDENTIAL AND SENIOR CITIZEN CUSTOMERS

The City of Dickinson granted an Exclusive Commercial, Industrial, and Residential Solid Waste, Green Waste, and Recycling Contract to Waste Management to provide refuse and recycling collection services to both residential and commercial customers within the City of Dickinson. On March 2, 2007, Waste Management submitted a notice of its intent to increase its solid waste rates for Dickinson customers by 1.128% pursuant to the contract.

On April 10, 2007, the City Council of the City of Dickinson approved a rate increase for solid waste services of 1.128%. The City operates solid waste collection as a separate enterprise not subsidized by any tax or other revenues. The City Council intends to pass the rate increase through to its customers to avoid impacting the City reserve funds. The rate increase is effective on May 1, 2007.
