This system achieves this by providing timely phone, text and email notifications and updates. Will I still get emergency notifications if I don't sign up?
If citizens don’t create a profile with a username and password, you will not receive individualized notifications. We encourage residents to elect to receive text messages to a cellphone and emails to ensure you can be informed on the go.
What if my phone number, address or email address changes?
DickinsonALERT is only as good as the information you provide. If your information changes, you should immediately update your profile to manage any changes so you will continue to receive timely notifications based on your profile and preferences. We ask that everyone please login and review their information at least once per year. If you choose to only login once per year, our recommendation is to review/update your information in May each year as this is just before the start of the Atlantic Hurricane Season on June 1st.
